Pope Leo Encourages Gospel Sharing Worldwide

Pope Leo’s Message for Global Prayer Campaign
In a video message released to kick off the global Thy Kingdom Come (TKC) international prayer movement, Pope Leo states that the Good News of Christ must be shared in order for more people to know Jesus.
In an English-language Ascension Day message recorded for the launch of this year’s TKC prayer campaign, the Pope states that Christ is “everything” for us and that we find fullness of life and its meaning in him. He asserts that we cannot remain silent about this.
Those of us who have experienced God are called to share his presence with others. It is especially appropriate to do so during these days of the “Thy Kingdom Come Novena” and to pray that others will likewise come to experience God’s redemptive and freeing love made known in Jesus.
The Pontiff discusses our desire for God to mend the world’s and our own brokenness in his message. He claims that we are fundamentally aware that only God is able to satiate our most intense desires and inner restlessness.
He states, “We long for him to deliver us from our sins, our foolishness, and everything that might harm us.”. “We yearn for him to mend the broken parts of our world and ourselves.
We are courageous enough to ask God to be genuinely with us not far away, but close despite our knowledge that he is transcendent and all-powerful. The “.
“While it is true that sometimes we stumble and forget about God and our need for him, at the core of our being we know that only he can satisfy our deepest longings and our inner restlessness,” he continues.
Pope Leo publicly supports TKC, following in the footsteps of his predecessor, Pope Francis. The movement, which began ten years ago and spans from Ascension to Pentecost, brings together over a million Christians worldwide in prayer for the conversion of more people to Christ. “Throughout the 11 days, every individual, household, and church is urged to pray in their own unique way.
