The Holy Renaissance Conference, which focused on public witness, evangelism, and unity, brought together Christian leaders and evangelists from all over the world in London.
In collaboration with Billion Soul Harvest, a movement dedicated to sharing the gospel with a billion people worldwide, Share Jesus International organized the conference.
Dr. James Hwang, the founder and visionary of Billion Soul Harvest, was one of the keynote speakers. He passionately discussed the spiritual state of Europe. Hwang told leaders, “I’ve been praying for the continent of Europe for a long time.”.
The greatest crisis facing Europe is not just a lack of truth, but a lack of God’s presence.”. The presence of God is what Europe needs right now. “Young Cho, the international coordinator for Billion Soul Harvest, emphasized the importance of Christian unity and evangelism globally.
The world is home to over eight billion people, “he stated”. Two and a half billion of them are Christ, great return, great harvest, great unity, and great breakthrough” are the four main themes he outlined for Billion Soul Harvest.
Many young people in the UK are turning to God,” Cho stated. “We envision a tsunami-like harvest flood occurring everywhere. Only when we are all very united can we accomplish that.
One person, one church, or one country cannot accomplish this. The body of Christ must work together to accomplish this. Additionally, the conference included breakout sessions aimed at preparing individuals and churches for evangelism.
The “Recommending Jesus” session, which focused on outreach and personal witness, was led by Geoff Shave, Church Engagement Director at Agapé UK. “Personal witness is often where church witness gets stuck,” he stated.
How do I live intentionally with those around me? How do I have that conversation with my colleague at work?” Shave urged leaders to consider their “sphere of influence,” or the people they come into contact with on a daily basis.
There’s a reason if God has put someone in your life who doesn’t know Him,” he said. He has bonded them with you because He loves them so much.
Shawn Brann, the founder of Ignite Europe and the Go and Tell Movement, facilitated another breakout session. What started out as a small event in Zurich five years ago has now grown into several international gatherings, according to Brann.
He added, “These are the greatest days in church history. We are working on 15 national events around the world.”. But instead of restricting outreach to major public gatherings, he also discussed the necessity of organizing regular Christians for evangelism.
By arguing that sharing faith is a calling for all Christians rather than a task reserved for a select few, Brann refuted what he called common misconceptions about evangelism.
Evangelism is not a special gift for some, but rather an expectation and command for all believers,” he stated. The evangelist’s job is to equip the church and instruct others on how to spread the gospel.
